"When it said it would take the pain out of my joints,
it took the pain out of my joints!"

Ken Shamrock, aka "The World's Most Dangerous Man" is a 4 time UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) winner and former WWF Wrestler. Ken also heads up "The Lion's Den", in which he trains a carefully selected team that must go through some of the toughest mental and physical training to separate the weak from the strong. Due to his years in this intense athletic lifestyle, Shamrock has tried many different pain medications and joint formulas over the years with unsatisfactory results. He decided to give Fix N Flex™ a try and was amazed with the results. "This is the best [joint formula] I have ever taken!" Shamrock said. "When it said it would take the pain out of my joints, it really took the pain out of my joints."

Fix N Flex™ is virtually 100% effective when used as directed!

The Marine Corps has designated Shamrock an MCMAP subject-matter expert for integration and combat conditioning training in recognition of his selfless, ongoing support of the Marines' unique mixed martial arts discipline. Shamrock teaches Marines how to be the world's most dangerous men.

Susanville resident Ken Shamrock shared some of the hand-to-hand combat techniques he's learned and perfected over the years with U.S. Marine Corps instructors during an Aug. 17 visit to the Martial Arts Center of Excellence in Quantico, Va.

Shamrock, a four-time mixed martial arts world champion who was dubbed "The World's Most Dangerous Man" after winning the first Ultimate Fighting Championship title in the 1980's, said he wants to give back to the soldiers who are helping to protect our freedom.

"This is probably one of the best things I've ever been involved with," Shamrock said.

"I’m one of the first instructors in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCAMAP). I teach the instructors and then they teach the Marines."

Shamrock taught his first clinic in Okinawa in 2001 before the Sept. 11 attacks. Since then he's led a number of clinics at Okinawa and Virginia.

Of course, Shamrock said there's a world of difference between fighting in a ring and fighting for your life in hand-to-hand combat.

"The techniques have to be adapted to fit their needs," Shamrock said. "The Marines are more in real life. When we fight in the UFC, it's on a nice clean mat. When the Marines fight, they're in the dirt, and it's not quite the same when bombs are going off and bullets are flying over your head.

MarinesFrom the time you engage to the time you finish has got to be 3 to 5 seconds. You don't have much time. You either throw the opponent down or take them down with a body throw, and once they hit the ground,

immediately snap the neck or knock them out. It's going to be clench, take down and finish quickly."

Shamrock drew praise from Master Gunnery Sgt. Shane Franklin, the noncommissioned officer-in-charge of MACE.

"He does it for free out of a sense of civic responsibility," Franklin told the Quantico Sentry. "Guys like Ken who know the difference between sport fighting and what we need to be able to do as combatants are great. The principles he teaches all relate to what we do. He understands that we are fighting with a flak, helmet, deuce gear and preferably with a rifle and bayonet."

"We as individuals take advantage of what America has to offer," Shamrock said. "We can get in our cars and go to the gym or the show and then come home and sleep in our warm beds while our soldiers are out there fighting to keep and protect the freedoms we have. I feel really good to be able to give something back. Maybe this training can help an individual stay alive. I look at these guys over there fighting. They're doing it for honor. They're doing it for their country. I just wish I could be there doing something for them because they're doing so much for us."
